Mark V

This is the beauty that I built the box for on Saturday. I have no idea yet what most of these things do. I expect to learn by reading the owner's manual that has a price list from 1965.

It is as old as I am.

So I expect it to have some things that don't work like they once did. We'll see how it goes.

My dad had a Shop Smith when I was a kid and I used it to make many things. His was from the 50's but looked very similar. Didn't do everything real well but you can create a lot of stuff with it. It's just sort of a pain to change it over for all the different configurations.

Great tool, My Grand Dad had that model. Yours is definitely the 1953 to 1960 model.

Now that looks COOL. Have fun! I'll bet you make some very cool stuff with it!

Found this while googling the web for Shopsmith images. Just thought I'd let you know about the Shopsmith forums at www.shopsmith.net. Ton of information and great people there if you want to find out more about your machine.
