Slacker

I have a new sympathy for friends who blog. I used to pester with demands for new posts. Give me something interesting! Give me something entertaining! Write!

Uf-da.

No more.

I have had a long-ish, kind of miserable week working on this project, but it is almost done. Which is good, because so am I. I am so tired and so sore and so exhausted I cannot describe it. I have learned a valuable lesson about my own physical abilities and just how many little steps are involved with building something of this size and scale. Good grief.

Here is a picture of what I've got so far, plus the supervisor on site. I'll write more when this job is finished. I think Laura and I might try to go fishing in the morning... wouldn't that be delicious!

I often have trouble deciding which I prefer. Creating with my hands or struggling to create with my mind. They both are always a challenge. Having something tangible and physical to appreciate afterword is often more rewarding. I have the thing I made in front of me. I take satisfaction that what I planned worked out like I meant it to.

Writing is a crap shoot. I know what I want to convey, but more often than not the result is not what I planned.

Blogging topics - wow, there's a topic all by itself. I have no clue how I come up with some I come up with. They just pop up. And others, I worry about and wrestle with sometimes for several days. My blog is a testimony to my scatter brained all over the map personality.

The one thing I decided early was to write for myself first. Anyone who stops by and enjoys it is icing on the cake. And anyone who doesn't , oh well.

Thank you both. I am honored that my musings seem to attract (and hold) interest. For someone who has been told to shut the hell up for most of my life, this little exercise is something of a guilty indulgence, so when someone likes what I have to say, it means that much more.
